Pack Leader 101

[Keith Coddington, 2008] Training you, the dog owner, is the most important part of this entire process. I can't tell you how many times I have thought to myself, "I wish the owners were as easy to train as the dogs". It is important that the owner understands that there must be some change in their behavior towards the dog in order for the progress from the training program to have lasting results.

Each dog training program includes training for the dog owner(s) and is custom tailored to meet the specific needs of the owner(s) and dog(s) involved. Whether you have a brand new puppy that you want to start off in the right direction or a senior that has had issues for years... we can help.

We truly believe there are no bad dogs out there. The daily interactions pet owners have with their pets have shaped who their pets are; including, what we perceive as acceptable behaviors and unacceptable behaviors. Communication is without a doubt an absolute must for the relationship between you and your dog to be successful.

Unfortunately the vast majority of pet owners are failing to reach their pets in a way their pets can understand. This usually leads to the owner being frustrated and the pet being confused. I have learned from wolves' behavior, in their natural pack environments, how all canines communicate using their instinctual language. We teach the dog owners the proper calm and humane techniques necessary to resolve each specific issue.

Upon completion of the 14 day training program which includes Pack Leader 101 the pet owner will understand:

1. How to truly communicate to your pet as a member of your pack.

2. How human behavior impacts the behavior of the dog with a basic understanding of dog and human psychology.

3. How to become "The Pack Leader", fulfill your dog and keep him/her in a balanced and obedient state.
